At Rustik by Underwood, we design and build with one goal in mind: to create functional, quality furniture while capturing the artistry and beauty of natural wood.

Our handcrafted natural wood pieces tell a story; a story that begins with the selection of a hardwood slab that will eventually become functional art. Bradley will search far and wide for a slab that is as unique as it is beautiful. Whether found locally in the wooded areas surrounding Banner Elk, or found abroad, each slab that is chosen begins to tell its story long before it enters the Rustik by Underwood shop.

At Rustik, we like to say that the slab will always tell you what it wants to be ...it is a cooperation of sorts. Clients of Rustik are involved in every aspect of their design and that includes the selection of the natural hardwood that will be used to make their piece. Rustik will work together with the client and the slab to find the best pairing.
